In 2012, 30,000 students were trained under the Nestlé Healthy Kids program in collaboration with Care Foundation. As many as 90 teachers were trained about Nutrition along with 100 mothers. All schools that were part of the programme have, designated spaces in their buildings as ‘Healthy Kids Rooms/Corners’. The Healthy Kids Team also organised 3 Healthy Kids and Wellness days.

In 2013, an additional 20,000 children were taught about their nutritional needs and the outreach of the programme was extended by roping in new partners like Silver Oaks, a Rawalpindi-based school system.

A new curriculum was also introduced. Two books (in both English and Urdu) targeting different age groups were designed; Book I is for children from 6 to 12 years of age and Book II is for children aged between 13 and 16.

The Nestlé Healthy Kids rooms are especially designed to make kids feel they are part of a comfortable and healthy learning environment. You can build such rooms for your kids too and encourage them to grow and learn.
